Wilbur and Orville
I doubt that the pair at Kill Devil Hills over 100 years ago were any happier than this pair when they reached their goal. Kelly has spent endless hours getting this 15 year old stallion to feel secure in her presence and to move at her direction.
Samantha came into the game late--she is the designated driver--the first person to ride El Rosio. She rode him for a while and then Kelly mounted up. That is success in their faces.
El Rosio, a stallion never ridden before last Friday--A Baca stallion--super horses--even rarer than the Corollas.
Two very rare women who are expanding his life.

Much of the horse world at large would tell you that this is an impossibility, or at best, extremely inadvisable...pfft.
They made it easy, consistency, gentle patience, nonchalant demeanor, and a huge slug of love for the horse.
Oh my gosh! A Stallion..run away!
That is just an attitude brought on by fear of the unknown, and of anxiety which comes from listening to the naysayers.
I prefer the Neighsayers..Git on him and ride, when you fall off, get back on. when you fall off again, get back on again.
It is a common theme to hear parents, friends, total strangers admonish "Don't get hurt! What you are doing is dangerous!" I for one, am glad that the men, women and children who sailed rickety little ships across the Atlantic did not have those artificial doubts.
Yep, Cowgirl Kelly, and Samantha Oakley have done a great job with this unique horse. -Lloyd
