Just goes to show being around & with horses makes you stronger and a better person! On the whole, horse people - the ones who care about their horses well-being more than their own - are just the greatest. Only wish I was closer to Smithfield, VA than I am (NYS)! Glad your dad is doing well.
I have to say the post I really enjoyed was the description of you and your "kids" participating in the Endurance competition! Hope you plan to do many more - show how little fancy equipment & moneyed backers matter when it comes to what the "little ponies" can do!
