Quick Tip # 81 Know When To Walk And When To Run
When well meaning friends and family try to tell you that your new found love of horses is dangerous and you should go back to yoga class instead, nod politely and walk away.
When self appointed experts from the established horse world who have won slews of ribbons, earned great honors, and know how to pick out worthless horses, (because they have sold scores of horses that "just could not cut it") comes to offer you advice on how to best participate in the equine experience...
Run like your butt is on fire!
I have seen fancy dancing horses which were national finals contenders sold for a song because they wanted to go another direction..pfft.

his butt was certainly on fire..because the trace touched it. He is much better now..he has only stood up on his fores (with me on him) once in the last three weeks or so. That is alright though, it improves my seat. Nahh..little guy has been a perfect gentleman the last couple of weeks..smooth and responsive, and much calmer. Now we are beginning to build his confidence alone. (He does not care about ribbons either...he just wants to run, and run, and run...)
He is my buddy, smart, and light, strong as an ox...and anybody wants to refer to him and anything but a fine horse is liable to get kicked. By Snow on Her. She adores him. -Lloyd
