Qucick Tip#47--A Natural Diet Is More Eco-Friendly

Horses are not carnivores and do not require a diet tremendously rich in protein. A diet consisting of a range of grasses, forage and hay creates manure that is lower in nitrogen and phosphorus than a diet based on grains.

Eating green is good for the horses, and the environment.

  1. This picture is, in itself proof positive that a natural diet is good for the horses..Every horse in this picture is in in prime health, and receives no bubble packed supplements, or compounded feed...grass, mineral, clean water, and room to move, never locked in a stall..Horses are not typically given to emotion so petty as jealousy, but this little herd ought to be the envy of almost every domestic horse in America..Obnoxiously healthy bunch.
Just look at the muscle and trim of them..The guy that took this picture is not in that good a shape.-Lloyd
