Only The Rocks Live Forever
Or at least so goes the old war cry and death song of the Plains. A meaningful life. A meaningless death. But through it all--perseverance.
Steve, I just finished reading "The Tale of Two Cities" which has a "meaningless" death at the end of the story. The character found comfort in these words of Christ as he went to his senseless death at the guillotine:
"I am the Resurrection and the Life, saith the Lord: he that believeth in me, thought he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die."
We will see Lido again, very soon. There is no Time or trouble there...
